The Advanced RCC Prognostic Calculator is an easy-to-use resource, utilizing prognostic risk factors based on the published Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) data (1) for advanced renal cell carcinoma (advanced RCC), and published expanded criteria, as adopted by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Guidelines(TM) for Kidney Cancer.(2)

The tool provides a simple way to calculate prognostic risk for patients with advanced RCC. First, you select the prognostic risk factors you’d like to use. Then you enter values for 5 risk factors: Karnofsky performance status, time from diagnosis to initiation of systemic therapy, corrected serum Ca, LDH, and hemoglobin. If you choose the expanded criteria, you will also be asked to enter an additional value, for the number of sites of organ metastasis. The tool shows a prognostic risk classification based on the risk factors you choose and the values you enter.
